Qbase, a UK marketing data management and insight specialist today announce they have become a partner for Talend, a leader in Cloud and big data integration software. Qbase has been specifically appointed as a Talend Partner with a view to helping organisations meet the significant challenge of compliance with the forthcoming General Data Protection Regulations.
Talend has appointed Qbase to their partner programme due to their existing expertise of delivering ETL solutions using Talend software and their experience in helping companies comply with the specific commitments and requirements concerning GDPR, including meeting the rights of individuals, which are a fundamental part of the new regulations.
Rob Jones, Head of Delivery for Qbase commented; Talend helps us to address a missing part of our proposition for GDPR compliance, particularly for large organisations. Through a combination of our GDPR consulting, Single Customer View solutions, and The Syrenis Preference Centre platform, we have been able to deliver compliance for most organisations. But larger businesses with a number of big, and often real-time data stores, need an enterprise level big data solution that offers security, accuracy and traceability of data. Talend gives us exactly that and it helps us to deliver one of the fundamental principals of GDPR “privacy by design”.
In addition to placing Talend at the heart of their GDPR solutions, Qbase has also been working extensively in the charity sector for many years using Talend as an aid to their large CRM Data Migration Projects. More recently, using Talend, they have also offered permanent integration of hundreds of feeds into Salesforce, MS Dynamics and Oracle CRM platforms through Talend’s ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and Data Quality capabilities. Qbase’s experience working in the charity sector was another major reason why Talend have appointed them to their partner programme.
Patrick Booth, VP UK and Ireland, Talend, said: “Talend addresses many of the requirements businesses face to meet GDPR. In the most successful implementations, Talend will be used in combination with a thorough knowledge of the regulations and an understanding of the real world needs of businesses… Qbase are a solution provider that have demonstrated this knowledge and experience. Added to their existing Talend development expertise, they were a natural choice for our partner programme and we’re delighted to have them onboard.”
