Ian’s role as CEO of Qbase is to align the services we provide
In 1990, when Qbase was founded, Ian Johnstone was, to all intents and purposes, the company’s printer (of call sheets), salesman and IT support technician. Fortunately the organisation has expanded quite a bit since then and now has 40 employees.
Ian’s role as CEO of Qbase is to align the services we provide: data processing; business insight and; data migration, with the ever evolving requirements of our customers. For example, most recently Ian has lead the way on two large scale projects to develop new services for preference management and streaming online browser history data into single customer views.
Anyone who knows Ian will testify to how much he loves his work. All the teams at Qbase are captivated by his leadership and enthusiasm for what we all do, which is one of the main driving forces behind our continuing success. He passionately believes a happy workforce is a stable workforce and this is vital in forging long term customer relationships, which is why Qbase are extensions of the IT and marketing functions for many of our customers.
Outside of work, injuries allowing (all of which are self-inflicted), Ian enjoys walking the family’s dogs in the countryside, trying to prevent foxes eating his hens and coaching/refereeing Under 19’s Rugby.
