High Profile Transfer from Everton FC as Jim Fantozzi Joins Qbase

By Robin Cronan, 1st December 2014

You may have missed this article amongst all the transfer speculation but Qbase have secured a new high profile signing in former Everton FC man Jim Fantozzi. Jim joins Qbase as Customer Journey Manager and will be working alongside veteran Rob Jones.

AGENCY BACKGROUND

Jim Fantozzi has had an illustrious career having spent the first 8 years working for marketing agencies Cheetham Bell and BJL, before transferring to Everton FC in the 2007/08 season.

At Everton FC Jim spent 7 years working as Marketing Services Manager and produced a number of highly effective and creative marketing campaigns. Jim also embraced business insight technologies such as FastStats and was an integral part of the team who brought data driven marketing to the club.

“Joining Qbase has been fantastic. It is the perfect challenge for me and the ideal next step in my career. I’m certainly looking forward to combining my experience of analytical data and insight with my creative agency background to help our customers drive their marketing strategies and tactical plans. It’s really exciting to consider how much of a positive impact I can have on our customer’s performance”, said Jim Fantozzi, Customer Journey Manager at Qbase.

COMBINING ANALYTICAL DATA AND CREATIVE MARKETING

Jim’s background made him the number one candidate for the role of Customer Journey Manager. Combining analytical data and insight knowledge with a creative agency background makes Jim unique because he can look at data through the eyes of a creative marketing professional, but look creative marketing campaigns through the eyes of a data analyst. This means that Jim can help and guide customers through the process by becoming the gateway through which the data and marketing teams can understand one another.

“One of the most exciting things about recruiting Jim to the team is the fact that he has a strong agency background and also understands the needs and wants of customers, because he used to be one. The benefits for our customers is enormous. Unlike a lot of marketing and data professionals, Jim has had significant exposure to both sides of the fence so he is a lot more adept at being able to help customers combine analytical data and insight to drive their creative marketing processes”, said Rob Jones, Director at Qbase.
