Create your Single Customer View
The fundamental purpose of record de-duplication is to create a single customer view - in other words to identify unique records at the contact, organisation and transaction level. Almost all databases contain duplicate records and our aim is to identify and eradicate them as accurately as possible.
De-duplication process
Qbase has developed its own unique de-duplication process, combining the best possible science – since duplicate matching is largely a question of mathematical probability – to deliver the most accurate merge results possible for all our customers, regardless of the complexity or quality of their data.
Our de-duplication process is tested and then "trained" on each customer data set to achieve the most accurate matching results.
We use a combination of algorithms, nearness & fuzzy logic in the merge process. Qbase customers have a number of options to optimise their merge results:
- Customer suppression matching in prospect de-duplication
- Intra-file matching to identify duplicate customer records for consolidation
- Inter-file customer matching in legacy data processing
- Composit record building from mulitple files
In most of these scenarios, we will run up 16 separate parses of the data, each one using a different combination of keys or algorithms to look for duplicate records in different ways.
Results
The results of each parse of the data are then consolidated into a report and the appropriate level of duplicates is then processed.
Total accuracy
For customers who are building CRM datasets, Qbase can place all the duplicate match groups on-line in a secure HTML report for them to individually inspect and accept or reject all the duplicates.
